LiveTanzBar 02 | 2026 - Blue Alley Jazz Band

The LiveTanzBar is a live band social event organized by the Dresden Hepcats at the Parkhotel in Weißer Hirsch. Regional swing bands perform here once a month at the beginning of the month. The spectrum ranges from big bands (e.g., NTSO) to small but fine jazz combos (e.g., Blue Alley Jazz Band).

The LiveTanzBar not only shines with its live swing music in a ballroom atmosphere, but also with its high profile in the Dresden swing dance community, making the evening a great opportunity to meet swing dancers, get to know them, and of course, DANCE!

Before the live band starts, our dance teachers will show you a few basics of swing dancing from 8 p.m., making the evening perfect for newcomers or beginners to get a taste of the “swing dancing” experience.

Blue Alley Jazz Band

The Blue Alley trio was founded in 2001 by three graduates of the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music in Dresden. Sensitive jazz, lounge music, swing, Latin, pop songs, as well as standard and Latin American dance music are part of the broad repertoire of the band from Dresden. With professional moderation and the highest level of musicianship, Blue Alley guarantees you the perfect musical accompaniment for your event. The friendly trio is flexible in responding to all individual requests and shines with its stylistic richness, original presentation, and infectious enthusiasm.

 

Admission to LiveTanzBar

As usual, admission to LiveTanzBar is free for club members (voluntary cultural contribution possible). Non-members pay €15 admission (reduced €5) at the door.

The production of audio and/or video recordings during events or lessons requires the express consent of the dance teachers. The publication of audio and/or video recordings from the lessons is the sole responsibility of the organizer Dresden-Hepcats e.V. By participating in an event, participants agree to the use and publication of photo and video recordings that may show the respective participant.
