Tap Dance - Basic

In this 4 week "Introduction to Tap" class for Beginner tap students we will learn proper Tap technique for some basic Tap fundamentals and a mix of interesting and fun traditional Tap steps.

The classes will concentrate on technical technique rather than performance tap. We will play with rhythms and syncopation. In the final class we may learn a simple tap variation for a Lindy Hop swingout.

Tap shoes are not required. You will need smooth soled shoes that do not grip the ground, leather or suede soles are perfect. To protect the floor please do not wear tap shoes with metal taps; if you own tap shoes you can remove the taps for this class. 

Class is taught in English.
